Being accused of a crime isn’t like it appears on television or in films; the reality can be far more harrowing for you and your loved ones. There is certainly no glamour about having your reputation put at risk, losing your employment, or ending up in prison, especially if you have been found guilty of a serious offence such as terrorism or murder. The reality is that if you have been wrongly accused, you will feel desperate, especially if you have been taken to the police station for questioning in the middle of the night.
At ABV Solicitors, we have experience supporting clients in all sorts of cases, many of which have been high-profile and are detailed on our website. Our success in getting the fairest outcomes for our clients has led to us being repeatedly referred to as a leading firm by The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners, most recently in 2023. We have also been included in The Times’ best law firms in 2023. We strive to deliver a personalised service that is tailored to your specific circumstances. Having our criminal solicitor to support you should ease some of the pressure you are under since you would know that your case is being handled by trusted professionals.
At the police station
If you think you are going to be questioned or you have already been taken to the police station for questioning, you must contact us immediately. The earlier we become involved in your case, the more likely it is that we may be able to help prevent charges from being brought against you. When our criminal solicitor accompanies you at the police station, they will be able to support you during questioning, advising you about the questions being asked. They will also be able to ensure that all processes are being followed appropriately; this intervention could make a big difference in the direction of your case.
Going to court
However, if charges are brought against you, our criminal solicitor will then take proactive steps to ensure that you have a robust defence case. They will do this by interviewing expert witnesses, such as forensics experts, and gathering other evidence to support your case, such as CCTV footage. They will represent you at the Magistrates’ Court, and if your case is serious enough to be referred to the Crown Court, they will then support the barristers and QCs representing you there. We have access to some of the best barristers and QCs, so you can be reassured that you will have a fantastic team supporting you throughout the entire process.
