Partner Hanisha Godhania and Mel Kelemework represented a mother in relation to the alleged murder of her two-month-old child. Through expert evidence and detailed representations, they were able to persuade the prosecution to accept a guilty plea to the lesser offence of manslaughter which resulted in her being released from custody on the day of sentence due to time already served. This was a sensitive and complex case due to the nature of the case, unusual expert evidence and the client having suffered with post-natal depression.
