Tom is a highly experienced magistrates’ court Advocate. Whilst trial advocacy is a large part of his practice, Tom is equally adept at handling cases from start to finish. Whether it be taking client instructions at police stations, conducting advocacy at the Magistrates Court or litigating cases in the crown court, Tom is well versed in dealing with serious and complex cases.
Tom represents many clients on a private basis in the magistrates’ court, having developed a specialty in defending professionals charged with summary-only offences. He both litigates and advocates on charges including assault, harassment, sexual assault and the full range of summary motoring offences.
Tom also prosecutes on behalf of the RSPCA on a regular basis dealing with an array of animal welfare-based offences such as illegal breeding, animal cruelty and abduction/theft of high value dog breeds.
