Rob Borwick and Hanisha Godhania of ABV Solicitors represented Louis Matturie in a trial before Chester Crown Court in the ‘Benjamin Mendy’ case.

Mr Matturie was acquitted of five allegations of rapes and one allegation of sexual assault following a five month in January 2023.

In September 2023 he was retried in relation to allegations the original jury failed to reach a verdict on. The jury acquitted him of two allegations of rape and one allegation of sexual assault. The jury failed to reach a verdict in relation to one other allegation of sexual assault. The Prosecution have now offered no evidence in relation to this allegation.

Mr Matturie has therefore been acquitted of all allegations brought against him.
