
Ashwinder was called to the bar in 2005 and since this date has specialised in criminal defence work.
In 2008 she joined ABV, assisting in the preparation of serious and complex Crown Court cases.
Ashwinder went on to complete the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test, dual qualifying as a solicitor in 2010; she then quickly attained duty solicitor status.
She has particular expertise in defending allegations of fraud, multi-faceted conspiracies and prosecutions brought by Trading Standards.
Her strength lies in her ability to analyse technical information and find flaws in the crown’s evidence. This meticulous preparation is essential to the defence of these cases.
Ashwinder has substantial experience in dealing with matters under the Proceeds of Crime Act and in particular the issues relating to Confiscation proceedings.
She has experience in representing clients who are subject to extradition proceedings including appeals to the administrative court at the Royal Courts of Justice.
Ashwinder has also volunteered at Legal Advice Centre in Southall.
Ashwinder is fluent in Punjabi and Hindi.
