Aneeta has practiced Criminal Law for over 20 years and became a Duty Solicitor in 1998, soon after qualification.
She is also a Higher Courts Advocate which entitles her to conduct hearings before the Crown Court.
In 2008, Aneeta was appointed a Peer Reviewer by the Legal Services Commission. This means she is one of a select team of assessors who review the quality of work carried out by other firms of Solicitors.
Aneeta was appointed Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Court) in 2009.
Along with her day to day practice, which involves the full spectrum of general criminal law, Aneeta has represented many clients involved in high profile and complex cases. She has represented clients prosecuted by various authorities such as The Crown Prosecution Service on behalf of Special Casework Unit, The National Crime Squad and Flying Squad, as well as prosecutions initiated by HM Revenue and Customs.
Aneeta has a wealth of experience and has a reputation for fearlessly and passionately representing her client’s best interests. Clients are reassured by Aneeta’s highly professional manner and personal approach.
As the firms Trainee Solicitor Supervisor, Aneeta has prepared articles for the Trainee Solicitors Handbook. She has also been involved in the training of appropriate adults who attend police stations, on behalf of the Youth Justice Service.

Multi handed conspiracy to cheat. 3 month trial on a VAT fraud relating to gold bullion. Also confiscation proceedings.
R v L: Isleworth CC
Importation of extremely rare orchids from Malaysia. Complex international financial enquiries, restraining orders and confiscation proceedings.

33 handed Conspiracy to supply drugs in the Berkshire area.
Pervert Course of Justice
R v S – Old Bailey 2011
The Defendant held a judicial position. It was alleged that he gave false evidence in the County Court during family proceedings regarding contact with his daughter and was charged with perverting the course of justice.
This case was investigated by the murder squad as originally, the defendant was arrested for conspiracy to murder his ex-partner, the mother of his child. Following our representations during the police investigation, this matter was not proceeded with.
R v A – Oxford Crown Court 2011
This case involved a multi handed investigation which, investigated offences dating back as long as 10 years. It was alleged that one of the 10 defendants ran a business charging people money to ‘get rid’ of Notices of Intended Prosecutions.
Violent Crimes
Operation Propus – Woolwich Crown Court 2013
7 handed Conspiracy to Supply Firearms with intent to endanger life where obsolete firearms were purchased, modified and customised into fully working firearms, together with adapted specialist ammunition. The conspiracy was primarily organised by a pair of prisoners from one of Her Majesty’s Prisons. The firearms had been used in several fatal shootings throughout the UK.
R v P – Northampton/Swindon Crown Court 2010
Allegations of robbery where the Modus Operandi (MO) involved arranging to see and then steal high value cars advertised for sale on auto trader. The defendant had used the same MO previously including one case where he had caused death by dangerous driving, originally charged as manslaughter.

Multi handed conspiracy to commit a series of armed Robberies including the Royal Windsor farm shop.

Multi handed large scale supply of class A drugs and possession of firearms followed by complex confiscation proceedings
R v T – Reading Crown Court 2010
Disturbing case involving a male who suffered from mental health issues, charged with the rape of his mother and other violent acts including gouging her eyeballs out, causing mother total blindness. The case involved fitness to plead issues.
